CBDurban Feminized Seeds (Canuk Seeds) - A Quick Overview

We are proud to announce CBDurban - absolutely magical new strain by Canuk Seeds!

This highly regarded strain contains 8% CBD and 8% THC and is the result of using an IBL Durban Poison to create a stable set of genetics high in CBD.

CBDurban is a sativa dominant hybrid (70%), so she grows quite tall and will add ⅔ to her height during flowering.

It does well in a SCROG setup and grows vigorously with large fan leaves and fingers that are widely set apart. Flowering takes between 60-70 days.

The taste and aroma are sweet with hints of aniseed and licorice.

Very Nice! - Review by Britanuck

100% Germination. Lost one to damping off. Remainder was a fast growing pheno that liked the amount of LST I put it through ! :D
Looked like a more sativa dominant pheno that exploded with growth when flowering began. Robust thick stems and branches with large sweet smelling anise scented Colas. Not as tight and compact as i would have liked but we shall see if that improves with the cuttings i took for the next round.

A very nice smoke. Awesome daytime smoke if you want to relax but not have too much of a rushy head-high. My wife liked that it wasn't too powerful THC wise, which it isn't, so take note if you're after a THC wallop.

After a 30 day cure in mason jars it has an aroma of licorice / dry white wine and is a very smooth and tasty smoke. As for pain relief? I couldn;t say for sure if it helps as i'm not in any kind of pain but it's certainly a relaxing smoke with no racy thoughts or insomnia. Overall a nice strain to grow and smoke, but if you are looking to get REALLY HIGH...then I would choose something else. (Posted on 12/18/2020)

Delivers what Canuck Seeds says it will - Review by Larry

This is a really good 1:1 strain. There's enough THC there to provide relaxation as well as the synergistic effect assisting the CBD. Therefore, it's not the strain for those who don't wish, or shouldn't have, any THC. Does it provide relief from gastric issues like IBS? We think it might, but like the gas mileage on cars ''individual results may vary''. (Posted on 2/21/2020)

Surprising - Review by Philippe

I was curious about CBD strains so I grew 2 of those CBDurbain. First of all the strain has one Pheno. Both plants looked exactly the same with buds all over. I was sceptical about the low THC of 8% but trust me, it gets you high. You still can hold a conversation and it gives a smooth physical high very pleasant. I actually really like it just before dinner after work. Cannot tell if its good for pain, I'm not injured or anything but I found it a great strain for beginners. Like I could make my mom smokes on it. Lol !! (Posted on 8/22/2018)

Another round from these gems and results were even better. Only sativa phenotype this time but improved techniques on the grow lead to much bigger and even better results. Would note that after seeing this round that the buds can get so heavy you WILL need to support them near the end.
A really great medicinal 1:1 CBD:THC plant. If you are in the market for a high/balanced CBD strain, this is a great choice, all the Durban Poison pep, but clear headed and all the benefits of high CBD. Had to review a second time I'm so impressed. (Posted on 1/11/2018)
Great medicinal breed - Review by A-Man

Bought this from an official re-seller. I chose this strain for the minimal psychoactive effects and high CBD content as a day to day strain to help get the hypervigilance, intrusive thoughts, insomnia and general anhedonia due to PTSD (the real thing, not self diagnosed I want to be special and have everyone fawning over me and don't want anyone to say anything that gives them the gloomies or shows them to be wrong and stupid so I'm going to claim I have experience trauma when in fact I am self diagnosed and a sniveling bully kind that's oh so popular with the kids these days and they can GET OFF MY LAWN!!!) under control enough to allow talk therapy to have the chance to work. Nothing wrong with enjoying a recreational strain at an appropriate time (which I definitely do enjoy at night or on weekends), but I am trying to reduce impairment, not trade one type of impairment for another full time one.
Well, rant done, lets get to the important bit.
Grow was indoors, SCROG and everything kept very cramped. Plants got root bound as a result but knew it was likely. Since then have upgraded the space and can greatly increase pot size for the next grow.
Sprouted 2 seeds and got 2 distinct phenotypes expressed. The predominantly sativa one flowered faster on change of light cycle, filled in quicker and was done 3 weeks before the indica dominant variant. Strangely the buds between the two despite the speed of flowering massively differing were pretty well identical in appearance, scent and effect. The description says %8 CBD and 8% THC, and I believe that's likely to be pretty well what I realized, but looking at it you'd think it was far stronger. The flowers and sugar leaves looked like they had a think coating from being rolled in sugar. The scent was powerful and complex so those tricombs must have had a massive terpene content. When the bud had dried enough to go in a jar, there was so much resin the buds stuck fast to the jar wherever they were in contact with the glass. Smoke is so far harsh but that's only from a bit I took out to have before the cure (ongoing) has completed.
Effect wise, makes me feel physically normal, not wound spring tight ready to leap into action as soon as whatever is causing the unending dread finally makes itself known.
Did I say unending dread? yeah, that's gone too. It's normal in my head again, not thoughts and fear screaming away without mercy, and not stupified. Just normal. . .after the first few minutes since the THC does start to kick in with a head high that doesn't seem to really take hold as the CBD mostly counters it. Some of the THC cerebral effect does remain, but it's a playful thought and stubborn minded focus only, thoughts remain clear and normal paced.
Was a pleasure to grow and is very much what I wanted; a primarily medicinal strain but with just a little bit of a high in there, but not enough to mess with all the responsibilities of mundane life. (Posted on 8/29/2017)
