Barneys Farm are continually pushing the limits of marijuana genetics, improving their selection and breeding processes to create something that is truly breath-taking.
Acapulco Gold is the next generation of marijuana. Like the original namesake the Acapulco Gold flowers with fat colas, flecked with beautiful reddish brown calyx, each covered with beautiful crystals of THC.
The smoke has an intense fruit cocktail flavor that lingers for hours.
This is a Sativa dominant strain that offers a long lasting high, balancing relaxing stress reduction with a real upbeat effect.
Acapulco Gold far surpasses the rhapsodized smoke of days past.
I started 5 seeds mid march of 2019 1 seed was not viable and literally fell apart, I purchased the seeds from a secondary vendor so I could not return. I grew out 1 plant my self(although it got stolen the last 3 weeks of flower so no review of final flower) I gave 3 to friend and he was able to harvest them. The pant I grew out had 8' long branches and some had 6' long nodes on some branches! Extreme monster of a plant! I did not break apical dominance or trim off much lower growth, it was basically left to grow with fertility maintained. The top grew so heavy in veg it would not grow straight even with 2 layers of trellis and a surrounding cage. The plant easily could of been north of 3 pounds if finished. If you are looking to grow big plants this is a good strain to have in your collection. The 3 plants I gave a friend and he was able to harvest exhibited an extremely "tropical" scent and taste. My plant had a gassy potent smell with hints of oranges. (Posted on 2/26/2020)
just dropped them in the ground in an apple orchard and didnt even touch them and they were partially shaded for much of the day. got at least 3 quarters of a lb dried off them! this is Ontario Canada. (Posted on 2/24/2020)
Bought a 3pack and dropped one. Very nice and stable pheno with plenty of stretch during flowering. Plump yielding, excellent flavor and good vigorous growth. 11 weeks plus in flower so some nitrogen needed for longer flowering periods. Kelp worked wonders for her. Beautiful Lady for sure and will welcome anyone to invest their time... She's worth it. (Posted on 6/25/2019)
Started three seeds April 2nd, once in my greenhouse they grew to almost 10 feet tall by end of July! One ended up having to be cut back which left alone would have grown over 12'!!! This is in Nova Scotia too! Ended up with 7 pounds trimed bud from three plants! No complaints! (Posted on 1/9/2019)
Had 2 phenos and most of em were kinda short for a sativa, pineapple smell.. not big yielder but quality, feel-good smoke. Other pheno has similar structure but with crazy orange/fruity smell and loaded with trichomes from very early and definitely a keeper for me. SOG. Organic. My best plant so far with nice leaves/calyx ratio (Posted on 11/23/2018)
Got the 5 pack all germinated nicely. Wonderful growth whole way through grow and bloom. Had to hold branches up from week 6 flower. Heavy yielded, got 2.5 oz dried a plant. Fruity taste. Great bag appeal. Great grow experience (Posted on 8/20/2018)
Bought a 3pk, 1st I killed with noob err, 2nd I vegged for 13 wks, flower for 67 days after, got a qp. Very pretty buds, but upon smoking; I come to the conclusion that there is no such thing as Acapulco Gold in 2017. It's just decent smoke, the taste was fruity, but the high was playing "hide and seek" really, it only left me with a huge appetite. And I don't like weed that makes me hungry so, I'd give it 3 stars if it weren't for the bag appeal and potentially huge yield... so 4 stars simply because it can produce large amounts from one plant, in ffof, under 288w led (got a 400w MH/hps now). The third one I put in Coco under my 400w Metal Halide Bulb and my hope is that I don't end up donating all of it simply because I can't enjoy it.
Oan. It's totally worth it if u suffer from a lack of appetite. I don't have that issue so it's not for me. (Posted on 9/15/2017)
