White Widow Feminized Seeds (Canuk Seeds) - A Quick Overview

White Widow first appeared in Holland at the beginning of the 1990’s and quickly became a hit in all the coffee shops and not long after, around the World.

White Widow is a potent cross of a Brazilian and an Indian sativa.

Its name stems from its immense crystal production that makes it shine and glimmer. Its buds are white with crystal resin as the name would suggest, warning you of the strong effects to come. A powerful burst of euphoria and energy breaks through nearly instantly, stimulating both conversation and creativity. For this reason we highly suggest the use of White Widow for social engagements.

White Widow can be grown both indoors and outdoors. It will finish indoors in around 8 weeks and outdoors in late October.

This is a great strain for wannabe breeders. It is an easy to grow strain with a very strong sativa effect.

Super frosty end stimulating - Review by Ken
Quality
Grew a single plant, and a friend grew a clone off her. Both were super lush and seemed easy to grow. Ended up as very small, and got 1.5 oz off mine. used half for hash making and the amount she produced was f...n aweome. After curing, is a tasty treat with a definite wakey type of buzz. gave her a 4 because i wish she had been bigger (but i did start flowering quite early so not totally her fault). Great Strain - Review by Joel
Quality
Grown outdoors in the ground, using organic amendments/fertilizers and rainwater in southern Ontario - growing zone 5b

Sprout: This seed sprouted as a wee little runt, but we decided not to give up on her as she immediately leafed out nicely,

and was showing some healthy early branching. she remained about 1/4 the size of her other sativa grow-mates [3 other strains]

from sprout right through to harvest. She was sprouted using the paper towel method. We tried to keep our seedling's

transplants as low-stress as possible by placing the sprouts in peat pellets, which, after about 2 1/2 weeks were then placed

whole into 4'' biodegradable pots [cow pots]. This allowed us to plant the entire thing, pot and all, into the garden in late

May.

Grow: She grew up in a nice typical sativa christmas tree shape but by mid-July, she was becoming overcrowded by her

vigorously growing sativa companions, and therefore competing for light, which im sure also had a sizable impact on our final

results. This plant was super easy to grow outdoors, we experienced no issues with pests, disease, signs of nutritional

deficiencies, nor any need for plant support.

Harvest: we let her go until October 2nd when the trichomes were looking good under microscope. her final height was a mere

4'8'', and she provided only 74g of dried flower. even though she was so small, she is still one of our favourites!

Effects: after 5 weeks of cure - starts very strong with a pleasant body buzz and builds to clear, cerebral high. an

enjoyable, social and chatty high with long lasting effects - also good for pain and anxiety

Thoughts: Yes, she happened to be a runt, no, we are not upset - such is nature, and despite this, she was still a breeze to

grow and manage. While she provided a humble harvest, we think this is top shelf cannabis, and we enjoy it greatly. we still

have another WW fem seed and definitely look forward to growing it again soon! (Posted on 11/20/2020)
Huge Plant/Harvest - Review by Jon

Amazing plant and easy to grow. Grown outdoors on the east coast. Just LST and the plant reached 7'-6'' tall and was 6' across. Harvest in mid-October of just over 24 ounces of dried bud. Heavy hitter with energetic/euphoric high. (Posted on 10/21/2020)
Well Done - Review by Mike

This was my freebie and part of my first ever grow along with an Amnesia. Ordered Mid. Sept and started germination in peat pot 10/1. Harvested on 2/2/20. Small tent, 300w light, Fox Farm trio and a great experience. About 1 oz of great buds. Well done (Posted on 9/29/2020)
Strong aroma, crazy crystal, big yield - Review by Ed

Started under 1200w full spectrum LED and finished outside. Easy grower. Got 16oz of great bud and 4oz of shake/ popcorn. Lost about 2oz to rot. Excellent high. Give her lots of room for her roots and she will reward you for it. (Posted on 8/19/2020)
Free seed - great plant - Review by Ben
Quality
Easy grower. Needs mg, but other than that is a compact, Indica-dominant, frost machine.

Canopy closes up fast - needs airflow and defoliation. Takes to topping well. Actually wound up keeping this as a mother once I saw the amount of frost. Clean taste - has that nice hybrid effect. Doesn't couchlock you but doesn't skitz you out, either. Great daytime. (Posted on 3/29/2020)

Very reliable outdoors. Great, balanced high. - Review by Rider 5
Quality
I've been a guerrilla grower for over 20 years so I'm always on the lookout for reliable outdoor strains with a balanced, energetic high. I found a beauty in Canuk's White Widow. It reminds me of Dutch Passion's discontinued Blue Velvet in both the high and the hardy, healthy way it grows outdoors. Now that my garden is legal I decided to try White Widow for the first time in my backyard. It was one of four huge plants that were ripped off overnight on September 25. The rippers left branches and buds behind, enough that I got 2.5 oz off that White Widow, which would have been at least 10 oz total. Needless to say, next year's garden will be fenced and alarm-protected. I'm not going to let the rippers win. Fortunately, I maintained my swamp site. thinking rip-offs might be rampant. I had one White Widow there and it yielded 9 oz virtually unattended. The herb is a favourite. Very strong but clear. Good energy and good body too. I think of a high like music. I never want to feel like I want more bass or more treble. Canuk's White Widow has that balance just right. (Posted on 1/19/2020)

Nice Freebie - Review by weedgeek
Quality
This is nice motivating but not anxiety inducing weed for outdoor activities, working out, house cleaning, creativity, partying, etc. I wouldn't smoke it before bed.

Mistakes were made during the grow so she was quite small and stunted, but still yielded a bit under an ounce under 250w LED. Month of veg. Harvested at 62 days flower ~20% amber trichomes on the calyxes.

Buds are medium density and medium frost level. Very nice for rolling joints. In the jar the buds have an odd chemical musty pine sort of smell, but once they are broken up it turns into a beautiful old school skunk aroma.

It's an excellent choice for a freebie ! (Posted on 2/6/2019)

I chose this as my freed seed. Smoked plenty of it in my days, but have never grown this particular strain myself personally before. Water soaked for 18 hrs. & by then it had already cracked. Damp paper towel method afterward for two days, until half inch tap root emerged. Planted in loose sterile soil. Hoping for good things as we go along. Will let you know how it goes. Nice freebie! - Review by Tragen
Quality
Got a seed as a promo freebie. It pop and grew out great. Nice and bushy with tight dense nugs. I am currently running a clone off of her due to New grow space and unknown stretch factors cause me to flower the mom early. Clones were taken in flower and recovered to veg faster than the Amnesia grown with it. Healthy strong genetics and frosty as all hell. I got a super funky cheese Pheno. Also this plant is not much of a stretcher could have vegged for prolly another 2 or 3 weeks. (Posted on 1/6/2019)

Freebie that keeps giving - Review by Rob
Quality
This freebie seed has now mothered clones which have produced over 2lb in SOG. Very little stretch and easy to maintain single cola. They do have a lot of tight leaves to the buds, but they are absolutely painted with trichs. Flowering is an easy 10-12 weeks to reach amber in this sativa dom pheno, but well worth the wait. Great medicinal quality not for beginner growers - Review by Hunter
Quality
This was part of the first order from true north and came as a free seed. The seed germinated quickly but had problems early on that slowed veg time. After catching up it branched into a massive plant using up a 10g pot with ease. The plant required very little notes but did demand a higher cal mag supplement then anything else I have grown. The buds were numerous and dense although the size was more reminiscent of indica nugs. True to the name, it was very white with crystals and provided a heavy high. I would classify the high as a hybrid as it was cerebral in nature but had a strong physical component that made the torso feel relaxed. I was able to complete tasks without feeling bogged down but remained pain free for hours. This strain did have an appetite increase component. The flavor was earthy with a thick smoke that satisfied the lungs. Thank you canuk (Posted on 2/21/2018)

Very Nice! - Review by Zack

I grew this White Widow straight up (no topping) in rockwool drip using Big Mama cubes and 600W HPS with temps in the mid-to-high 80's during lights on. The plant is pretty hearty and developed into a nice symmetrical 'Christmas tree' shape about 1 meter tall. The buds grew out incredibly dense...basically solid and you can't really see the individual calyxes...and had a lovely lime green color and quite a bit of frost. I vegged for 3 weeks and harvested at exactly 54 days. I probably could have harvested several days or a week earlier (not a single white hair remained on the plant. After harvest and curing properly for two weeks (hanging for a few days then in cardboard boxes at about 50 humidity), I have 115 grams (4 oz) of beautiful rock hard buds...like little pieces of candy...that give a very nice strong buzz. I won't be able to properly evaluate the smoke for a couple more weeks, but it is very good smoke already at two weeks, but not quite finished curing. Would definitely grow again if I have the space amongst my other plants. (Posted on 1/25/2018)

I grew one of these next to Obi Wan and Gold Rush, in DWC. Honestly, it was pretty pathetic next to those other two beauties. Mine might have just been a dud, but it sucks because I actually bought the thing lol. I would spend my money on Obi Wan, Gold Rush, or True OG, instead. (I'm running True OG outdoors right now, and she looks amazing. And I kept a cutting to run in hydro this winter!) (Posted on 7/20/2017)
Quality Smoke - Review by WickedScooby420
Quality
This was my first grow and while mistakes were made, this plant gave forth what is now my favorite smoke. This plant was the runt, even as a seedling, but somehow she grew enough to give me about 2oz. of heaven. I'm not complaining even though this had, by far, the least output of my grow. This was a runt and probably not the norm. I am reordering, if that tells you something. The high is amazing. It lets you stay focused and will make you giggle your ass off if you smoke enough of it. I give it a 4 because I had a runt but loved it anyway. (Posted on 7/11/2017)

bought three of these and also received a quarter pounder auto as my freebie and all four seeds germinated within 3 days! planted in a potting soil mix in peat pots until they are ready to be transplanted. keeping them outdoors until they harden up a bit more, but it's been a hot summer, and they are a little lanky. no worries, though, i have them propped up with toothpicks until the stalk catches up to the foliage. i'm just thrilled they all germinated! great service, will definitely order again! Got 1 seed as a freebie and it was the 2nd best plant in a grow (indoors) all from seed. It clones almost by itself, grows a stem fit for a plant double it's size, stays quite short and top top cola reaches to the middle of the plant if not topped or trained. Recommended for beginners. I received a free white widow seed in a previous order. I have yet to flower her. However, the aroma and summitry that this plant is showing and producing in veg is amazing. seeds did not have the distinctive markings, not dark in color or no spotting. First seed cracked after 60 hours in water, at 72 hours the remainder cracked. Used a wet paper towel method to geminate, placed germinated seed in rock wool that was soaked in PH 5.8 water for 24 hours. two seeds sprouted after 10 days. Remaining seeds never sprouted.
